DEPERO. Works from the Fedrizzi Collection.

Open through 1 March 2009.
Show presented by the Venice Civic Museums as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of Futurism, offering for the first time the complete precious collection of the Fedrizzi Collection dedicated to Fortunato Depero (1892-1960).
On view are over eighty works produced from 1914 to 1956, including the famous Libro imbullonato of 1927, the first example of a Futuristic book-object, and Nitrito in Velocità, of 1922.
Alongside the oils, temperas and ink and crayon drawing, there are also – to demonstrate the extraordinary multimedia approach of the artist – collages, advertising sketches, wood and fabric marquetries, and interior furnishings. Curator, Maurizio Scudiero. Catalogue by Electa.
