Picasso: La Joie de Vivre 1945-1948

Picasso: La Joie de Vivre 1945-1948.

Open to the public to 11 March 2007.

Some 250 works, including paintings, drawings and ceramics, coming mainly from Musée Picasso of Antibes, as well as other important public and private collections, are on display on the second floor of the famous palazzo representing one of the happiest periods in the career of the Spanish master – the post-WWI years, known also as his “Antibes period.” The show is accompanied by a collection of photographs by such renowned photographers as Denise Colomb and Michel Smajewski, showing the artist at work and in his private life. Curated by J. L. Andral. Three-language catalogue published by Skira Edizioni.
